Who Can Qualify for NJ FamilyCare?          NJ FamilyCare Income Limits   Pregnant women, children, some low and very low income parents can qualify for NJ FamilyCare. Check your FamilyCare Household Size and Income Limit.   If you meet these requirements, check to see for which Benefit Plan your children may qualify. Children under the age of 18 for Family Income up to the maximum income limit for children.  (Children age 19 and 20 can also be evaluated for the very low income program.) Eligibility for children in the custody of Guardians / Caretaker Relatives may be determined without including the income of Guardians or caretaker relatives. Eligibility is based on family size and monthly income. Only monthly income, not assets, is considered for eligibility. What is Family Size? Family Size includes the Parent or Parents and dependent children.  You cannot include other relatives who live in your household (such as your parents) even though you may provide for their  support and claim them as dependants on your income taxes.
